More Information About Gainesville Ga

The city of Gainesville is the county seat of Hall County, Georgia, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 33,804. By 2019 the population had risen to an estimated 43,232. Because of its large number of poultry processing plants, it is often called the Poultry Capital of the World. Gainesville is the principal city of, and is included in, the Gainesville, Georgia Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is included in the Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Gainesville, Georgia Combined Statistical Area.

Gainesville was established as Mule Camp Springs by European-American settlers in the early 1800s. Less than three years after the organization of Hall County on December 15, 1818, Mule Camp Springs was renamed Gainesville on April 21, 1821. It was named in honor of General Edmund P. Gaines, a hero of the War of 1812 and a noted military surveyor and road-builder. Gainesville was selected to be the county seat and chartered by the Georgia General Assembly on November 30, 1821.

Why Pediatric Dentistry

Gainesville Dental Group offers cleanings to those in need ...

Our pediatric dentists, Dr. Vaughn and Dr. Simon, are highly trained and have completed a rigorous two years of residency in pediatric dentistry beyond dental school. This residency focuses on all aspects of infant, child, and adolescent growth and development, equipping pediatric dentists to deal with everything from common childhood diseases to life-saving techniques. Dr. Vaughn and Dr. Simon know how to advise children and their families in preventative care so kids develop good dental habits at a young age that will affect their health and confidence for life.

The pediatric dental experience is designed to make going to the dentist fun and worry-free so kids learn to be comfortable coming to the dentist. While oral care should begin at home just before the first tooth appears, we encourage the first visit to the dental office to take place within six months of its appearance. Dental examinations starting at an early age have shown to decrease the patients risk for developing cavities.

Doctor.com can help you find a Dentist who accepts Medicaid insurance in Georgia. A dentist is a person qualified by a doctorate in dental surgery or dental medicine , licensed by the state to practice dentistry, and practicing within the scope of that license. There is no difference between the two degrees: dentists who have a DMD or DDS have the same education. Universities have the prerogative to determine what degree is awarded. Both degrees use the same curriculum requirements set by the American Dental Association’s Commission on Dental Accreditation. Generally, three or more years of undergraduate education plus four years of dental school is required to graduate and become a general dentist. State licensing boards accept either degree as equivalent, and both degrees allow licensed individuals to practice the same scope of general dentistry. Additional post-graduate training is required to become a dental specialist.

Every One Of The Treatments Were Painless

I have generally been terrified of the dentist, which in turn led to me not to see one for years. I was advised to see the dentists here at business, and I am very thankful I did. I needed to have a couple of treatments done, and NOTHING AT ALL hurt and every person was so compassionate. Thanks a lot, I am a lot happier with my smile now!
