While non-emergency transportation is not a nationally required Medicaid benefit, the NC Medicaid program does provide non-emergency medical transportation coverage. There are three versions of this benefit: gas cards, lift vans, and County vehicles. This coverage relates to non-emergency transportation, not ambulance rides.
