Board Certified Pediatricians Located In Las Vegas Nv

At Southern Nevada Pediatric Center , the board-certified pediatricians and medical professionals work collaboratively to provide the best possible pediatric care to patients in the Las Vegas Valley. They also offer telehealth/virtual visits for those outside Las Vegas Valley in more rural locations and have difficulty with transportation.

Southern Nevada Pediatric Center treats infants and children from birth to age 26, no matter their condition and welcomes complex chronic kids who need a medical home. All patients are treated with the same respect, dignity and care regardless of their medical needs or demographics. Same-day appointments and walk-ins are accepted. After hours and weekend appointments are available . Virtual visits are always available after hours, weekends and holidays. Virtual visits are also available during regularly scheduled office hours .

Southern Nevada Pediatric Center pediatricians provide care for newborns at a number of nearby hospitals. In the office, they offer a range of services and treatments, including wellness checks and physical exams, preventive health care, immunizations, weight management, preoperative exams, and prenatal visits. They also treat premature infants and more complex pediatric cases and welcome those with complex medical and social needs. They also perform procedures when necessary, such as ear lavage, ingrown toenail removal, wart removal, etc.

Unitedhealthcare Senior Care Options Plan

UnitedHealthcare SCO is a Coordinated Care plan with a Medicare contract and a contract with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Medicaid program. Enrollment in the plan depends on the plans contract renewal with Medicare. This plan is a voluntary program that is available to anyone 65 and older who qualifies for MassHealth Standard and Original Medicare. If you have MassHealth Standard, but you do not qualify for Original Medicare, you may still be eligible to enroll in our MassHealth Senior Care Option plan and receive all of your MassHealth benefits through our SCO program.

When School Is In Session Parents And Guardians Who Cannot Be Home With Their Children Have A Supervised And Safe Place For Them To Stay During School Hours

James Clubhouse Information:

  • All 13 Clubhouses will re-open on Monday, August 24th at 75% capacity for youth ages 6-18.
  • Open hours are Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Students between ages 13 -18 must arrive by 9:00 a.m.
  • $20 Yearly membership fee for students ages 13 -18

o This will be covered by Amerigroup / Anthem or Health Plan of Nevada or Silver Summit Insurance

  • $35 Yearly membership fee for students ages 11 – 12

o This will be covered by Amerigroup / Anthem or Health Plan of Nevada or Silver Summit Insurance

  • Non-Members must register online and then enroll for Fall

Some doctors are only in the Health Plan of Nevada network. Health Plan of Nevadas Medicaid plan is Nevadas only Medicaid plan with Southwest Medical.

Division Of Welfare And Supportive Services

Medicaid is a joint State/Federal health insurance program that is administered by the State. It provides health coverage for low-income individuals, especially pregnant women, children and the disabled. The Division of Welfare and Supportive Services determines eligibility for the Medicaid program.

If your income is under 138% of the Federal Poverty Level , and if you are under age 65, you may qualify for Medicaid.

The Southern Nevada Health District is providing the following resources and information regarding the current baby formula shortage that is due to supply chain issues and a recent recall of Similac, Alimentum, or EleCare powdered infant formulas. Nevada parents are having difficulty finding formula on store shelves throughout Clark County.

Unitedhealthcare Dual Complete Plans

Plans are insured through UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company or one of its affiliated companies, a Medicare Advantage organization with a Medicare contract and a contract with the State Medicaid Program. Enrollment in the plan depends on the plans contract renewal with Medicare. This plan is available to anyone who has both Medical Assistance from the State and Medicare. Benefits, premiums and/or co-payments/co-insurance may change on January 1 of each year.

Environmental Health Fee Increase

The Board of Health approved a 27% increase in Environmental Health fees effective July 1, 2022, with a delay in the increase to annual permits. An additional bill for 27% may be generated on January 1, 2023, if the State does not cover the increase. Full permit fees will be due the next billing cycle on July 1, 2023. Please check www.snhd.info periodically for updates.

Your health plan requires you to choose a PCP. If you dont select a PCP, well match you with a doctor in your service area. You can change your PCP at any time. Simply sign in to the online member center. First-time users will need to create an account.

Your PCP will take care of most of your health care needs. Visit your PCP for routine care, yearly checkups and other general health concerns. Each member covered under a Health Plan of Nevada Medicaid or Nevada Check Up plan can select his/her own PCP, or you may all choose the same one. You may choose a pediatrician for your child. Females over the age of 14 may select an OB/GYN in addition to a PCP.
