Unitedhealthcare Dual Complete Plans
Plans are insured through UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company or one of its affiliated companies, a Medicare Advantage organization with a Medicare contract and a contract with the State Medicaid Program. Dayton Psychiatric Hospital And Owner Agree To Pay $425000 To Resolve Claims For Unnecessary Diagnostic Testing
DAYTON, Ohio Access Hospital Dayton, LLC and its owner, Dr. John Johnson, have agreed to pay the United States $374,780 to resolve False Claims Act allegations that they knowingly caused the submission of false claims to Medicare and Medicaid for diagnostic testing. Access Dayton and Johnson have also agreed to pay the State of Ohio approximately $50,219 to resolve State of Ohio Medicaid claims.
The government alleged that, between January 2014 and December 2019, Access Dayton and Johnson knowingly caused the submission of false claims to Medicare and Ohio Medicaid for diagnostic laboratory testing that was performed during patients inpatient stays at Access Dayton, not used in the management of the patients condition, and not medically necessary.
Prolactin testing measures the level of prolactin in a persons blood, which providers use to diagnose pituitary tumors or to determine causes for conditions unrelated to psychosis or substance abuse. Providers use ammonia testing to diagnose liver dysfunctions or hyperammonemia.
Medicare pays for diagnostic testing ordered by the physician who uses the results in the management of the beneficiarys specific medical problem. Medicare and Ohio Medicaid generally prohibit separate payment for diagnostic testing performed during an inpatient admission.
False Claims Act tips and complaints about potential fraud, waste, abuse and mismanagement can be reported to the Department of Health and Human Services at 800-HHS-TIPS .

Program: Offers youth and their families mental, emotional and behavioral health programs and services. Licensed social workers and counselors provide counseling and clinical treatment programs addressing a range of issues including school concerns, sexual abuse, delinquency, domestic violence, family conflict, substance abuse and mental health issues. Paramount Behavioral Health Redesign Resource Center
Effective July 1st, 2018, all Medicaid Managed Care Plans, including Paramount Advantage, will be fully responsible for the entirety of Behavioral Health services used by our Paramount Advantage members. Paramount Advantage is currently responsible for managing our Medicaid population when a member accesses inpatient Behavioral Health services. Your Primary Care Provider
The main doctor you see is called a Primary Care Provider, or PCP. When you see the same PCP over time, its easier to develop a relationship with them. Each family member can have their own PCP, or you may all choose to see the same person. You will see your PCP for:
- Routine care, including yearly checkups
- Coordinate your care with a specialist
- Treatment for colds and flu
- Other health concerns
You have options
You can choose between many types of network providers for your PCP. Some types of PCPs include:

- Internal medicine doctor cares for adults
- Nurse Practitioner cares for children and adults
- Pediatrician cares for children

What is a Network Provider?
Network Providers have contracted with UnitedHealthcare Community Plan to care for our members. You dont need to call us before seeing one of these providers. Sometimes members need to see a very specialized type of doctor. We will work with your PCP to make sure you get the specialist or service when you need it, for as long as you need it, even if the provider is not currently a network provider. There is no cost to you when we authorize the care or service in advance, before you see the non-network provider.
