What Should I Do To Prepare For Pregnancy
If youve decided that the time is right to start or expand your family, theres much you can do before you get pregnant to prepare.
The first step is to make an appointment with one of the obstetricians at Southeast Texas OB/GYN Associates, P.A. for a full examination and review of your current and past medical history. What Is Prenatal Care
Once you receive the great news, your pregnancy is in full swing and the obstetricians at Southeast Texas OB/GYN Associates, P.A. sit down with you to review a prenatal schedule.
A typical prenatal schedule goes like this:
- Once a month for weeks 4-28
- Twice a month for weeks 28-36
- Weekly after week 36
These visits are critical in making sure your pregnancy is progressing well and that you and your baby reach important milestones along the way. Its during these visits that you get the first glimpses of your baby through an ultrasound, and even find out the sex of your baby if youre so inclined.
