A month later, voters in Oklahoma approved ballot Question 802, paving the way for full Medicaid expansion to take effect in the state as of July 2021.

Whats Changing With Medicaid In Oklahoma

But Governor Stitts administration had also been working on a new approach, called SoonerCare 2.0. In early 2020, the Stitt administration expressed support for the Trump administrations Healthy Adult Opportunity Medicaid waiver approach, and rolled out a proposal designed to take advantage of the new flexibility the federal government is offering states.
