I attended the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco and graduated with my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Since then, I have provided outstanding dental care in a number of private practices in Wisconsin and San Francisco, and served as faculty at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry before settling into the Cincinnati area last year. I was on my way to submit some resumes for local retail positions after graduating high school. I had an appointment that morning to get my teeth cleaned, and all it took was the right time and the right place to put the idea in my head. I asked my childhood dentist, Dr. Knickmeyer, if he needed any help.
I started my dental career as an assistant working part time with Dr. Knickmeyer while completing my undergraduate degree. Dr. Knickmeyer was a fantastic mentor and person. He was patient and loved to teach. What I saw and admired was that he was able to change lives in a significant and tangible way every day. He did good things for good people and was a leader in his community. He did all of this while being able to support and spend time with his family. His kindness not only changed my life, but Dr. Anna Francke as well, who recently graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Exceptional people inspire and its what I strive to do as well.
